A Spectacular new SITE for a Waterfall Wedding

This is truly a great adventure!
Our October earthquake left us without access to many of our waterfalls. Now, thanks to, Ride the Rim Outfitters, we can once again offer waterfall weddings at a great price. In less than two hours from Kona you can enter the tranquil environment of the Waipi’o Valley Rim. You will be transported from the base of the rim via a 4x4 van through a beautiful forest to a majestic secluded waterfall. On the way you will see various types of vegetation and trees including the native Koa trees. You will pass breathtaking scenic vistas of the Waipi’o Valley, also known as the Valley of the King, nearly two thousand feet below. It is also a great opportunity to see the local wildlife.

The waterfall flows on two levels with the upper tier about twenty feet high and the lower tier close to forty feet. There are natural pools at the bottom of both tiers suitable for a brisk swim after the ceremony. The area is known as the Kings Falls. It is said that King Kamehameha I, who was born in the valley below, would bring his queen here to enjoy the isolation and natural beauty of the area. The falls are surrounded by wild ginger and banana trees making it a true tropical paradise. As you return from the ceremony you will pass a truly magnificent overlook with a regal view of the entire valley. From the unobstructed 2000 foot waterfall on one side of the three mile wide chasm to where the valley embraces the vast expanse of the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean on the other side it is a scene of almost indescribable beauty.

You and your wedding party will be accompanied by an expert guide provided by Ride the Rim Outfitters. If you are a little more daring you can send the wedding clothing in the van and you can ride ATVs to the site or share the ride on a Kawasaki Mule. The site fee is $1500.00 above the price of the wedding package you select. Additional guests can share the adventure for $125.00 per person.
